Brazil Beauty Market 2025: Size, Growth and Opportunities

Brazil's Beauty and Personal Care sector generated roughly R$200 billion in 2025 — the equivalent of US$37.4 billion in consumer sales. The figure places the country in third position globally, behind only the United States and China, according to Euromonitor International data compiled by ABIHPEC.

Scale here is about presence, not only value. The sector's products reach 100% of Brazilian households, generating roughly 7 million employment opportunities across the full chain — manufacturing, packaging, logistics, and retail.

Brazil is not only a consuming market. In 2025, sector exports passed US$1 billion for the first time — a 20.1% increase over the prior year, reaching 189 countries.

By category, Brazil holds standout global positions: 2nd place in fragrance, 3rd in sun protection, 4th in worldwide product launches — 7,359 in 2025 alone, behind only the United States, China, and India. Skincare grew 9.6% in 2024; haircare, 9%; fragrance, 10% in 2025.

The trajectory holds: Euromonitor projects 7% annual growth through 2027; Mordor Intelligence forecasts the market reaching US$56.11 billion by 2031, a 7.20% CAGR.

"Numbers of this size are often read as a sign of saturation. It's the opposite: a market this large, still expanding, with mature regulation and a structured supply chain, is exactly where a well-designed entry pays off — and a poorly designed one gets expensive."
